— If you were on a hiring committee at a workplace, would you consider SAT scores as part of an applicant’s materials? No I do not think that would be a good workplace committee because the way the SATs are now is very inaccurate does not follow what we do in schools.
— Should there be an expiration date on the scores’ being considered as part of a prospective employee’s application? If so, what should it be?I think it should have a date for like 5 years after you take it. After the five years they do not look back to it because it is not accurate if you were to take more schooling. But if you do not further your schooling and you can still use it as an accurate reading of ability.
— What if a job applicant did not take the SAT? Do you think some employers would penalize that person? How should this situation best be handled, in your opinion? Unfortunately some employers do for example Google does. It's based on the employer opinion whether not they want to use it. Believe more and more employers are not using it as check for ability level.
