The Agonies of Instagram.

Do you use Instagram? If so, to what degree do you identify with the ideas described in the article?

Yes I do use Instagram. Yes I do agree with the article that people should not use Instagram as a trophy case make everyone envious.

Do you think people put too much, too little or just enough energy into the way they depict their lives through photos on social media? Explain.

I feel that people put way too much into their pictures that they post on social media. All their doing is taking pictures of their life and how it goes.

The article quotes David Coggins, who says he doesn’t think people should post “trophies,” or photos of expensive things or places few people get to visit. What is your take on this suggestion?

I agree with him that people should not post pictures of trophies and expensive things and expensive places they've been. I feel all it is doing is they're showing off and it just gives other people something to complain about it makes him feel less of themselves. Have a expensive I'm going to expensive places does not make you more of a  person.

Old age

  • How long would you want to live, if you could choose your life span?
I would want to live as as I'm supposed too. I don't want to try to live longer by taking different medications and such if it's time to go its time to go is the way I look at it.
  • Do you agree with the author that “adding years to a life doesn’t necessarily make it any fuller?”
I agree. But I feel if you are just going to try to live pass a unnecessary age that I don't think it makes your life fuller because there's no Quality of life you're just a living but you don't really have a point to be alive even know that sounds harsh.

Bullying in N.F.L.

  • When do pranks cross the line to become bullying?
I feel when you cross the line and it becomes bullying  is when you get caught up in the every day pranks and don't even realize each day you're getting harsher and harsher on the person. Eventually it builds up. If there is any verbal or nonverbal threatens, humiliatin and intimidating.
  • How important is intention — whether or not the perpetrator meant to cause emotional harm? How important is the reaction — whether the victim of the prank feels hurt, or not? If the perpetrator feels really bad not intend hurt. Then that is not bullying but if the victim states that he was not hurt then that should not be bullying.
  • Have you ever been the victim of a prank that felt more hurtful than funny?
No. I have not.  I try to keep my pranks as nice as I can for it being a prank. If I ever have hurt anyone I wish they would tell me. So I would know where the line is but I've never been told. I believe people need to speak up like Jonathan did.

Schools should not follow us so close

I feel like in the school we already lose a lot of our rights. So for schools to monitor us at home it makes it like we don't even have a chance to be a teenager. Every teenager needs a chance to make mistakes and learn from them. Or they will not know what to do if life throws a curve ball at them. Schools just need to pay more attention during the school day of what kids are doing. I don't feel like schools have to monitor us at home. We have parents for a reason and that is their job not the schools.

I found this article very important and just to remind everyone on a day-to-day basis to respect others in the world will be a better place and less lives will be taken.

Do schools provide students with enough opportunities

I feel that school provide students with a lot of opportunities I just think that people and students don't try to see the opportunities. They just see school as school and where is nothing more to it then that. If you really get involve with your school and community there is a lot of opportunities for you to have.

How to do a good interview

A good interview has a comfortable , relaxing atmosphere and good preparation by both sides. There needs to be good lighting and a seating arrangement that allows everyone to make eye contact. Sometimes to break tense moments it is good to have humor. Water bottles and snacks are a good idea.
Good interview questions are questions that should not have a yes or no answer. The questions should allow someone to expand on the answers they give. Follow up questions that relate to the answer are sometimes very helpful.

What is Journalism!!

Step #2: The first post to your new blog is to explore what journalism means to you.  Some directions you can take this prompt include (but you are not limited to):
  • What does journalism look like?
  • Journalism looks like newspapers and Article. very knowledgeable information.
  • Is there "good" or "bad" journalism?
  • Where do you see journalism in your life?
  • Talk about journalists you pay attention to.
  • Why are you interested in journalism?
  • What are you curious to learn more about in terms of this class? Journalism in general?

Journalism looks like newspapers and Article. very knowledgeable information. Newspapers are a form of journalism that I think of, also in magazines. I think it most journalism is pretty good, but I think there are probably some bad pieces out there. I normally see journalism in the magazines I read, such as "Maine Houses", "Car and Driver", and "National Geographic". There are articles inside some of these magazines that intrigue me, like the designers of kitchen and people who rescue animals. I'm interested in journalism because it shows the nuts and bolts of society. I'm concerned with learning if there truly is good or bad journalism.
